The Dancehall Industry is again saddened by the loss of another soldier, According to reports Derrick Edwards, more popularly known as Corey from Merital Family was shot and killed by unknown assailants in Montego Bay.
Merital Family rose to fame in 2010 with their single “My Money Ha Ha” which featured the incarcerated Gaza Don Vybz Kartel. Merital Family was also a member of the Portmore Empire until disagreements arose from the payment of royalties for their hit song. The group later separated while Corey continued to focus on his music up until his untimely death.
