Dj Kurt Riley has done it again with this remix for the carnival season. The Diamond selling and Billboard producer Kurt Riley, teams up with Peter Coppin of Monsterpiece Production out of Barbados to give you a grimmy but sexy version to Hole Digger by Konshens & J Capri. Both is no stranger to hit music and both, especially Peter Coppin has been making hit soca music year in year out while Dj Kurt Riley who’s last project “The Jambe-An Riddim” placed him on the charts with Calvin Harris, David Guetta to name a few and working with Trinidad Soca Stars like Machel Montano, Shurwayne Winchester, Timaya from Nigeria. Was a huge hit for Trinidad Carnival 2016 and still is being played world wde put a mega hit in the latin communities

We caught up with Kurt and asked him about this remix. “Well i’ve always loved the song from the first time Konshens sent it to me but for song strage reason, i was heading a different beat in my head. I spoke to Konshens and let him know what i would like to do with the song and he gave me his blessing along wth the vocals. I love to produce remixes. The ability to fuse Dancehall with Soca is a deep passion of mine for i have always believed the 2 genres are first cousins in music. . Look what i did with the Groovy Soca Remix to Party Shat with Popcaan, same thing. Have to give credit to Riff Raff who is the sole musician on that project.”

We also spoke to Konshens. “”Well were always excited about the song and we did a plan fi shoot video and push it big time but the unfortunate events put stop to all those plans… Kurt Riley was one of the 1st persons we mek hear it and him fall in love with it to… her vocals were amazing!! Im happy he did this remix so people can feel what we felt hearing this track and also in another genre ….SOCA!!! When soca and dancehall mix it always shot”

Kurt Riley’s love for soca music is now paving a different road for him on the global stage. We have heard for years that Jamaica”s doesnt like soca, well, this young man is certainly making liars out of many people based on our investigations. Good music belongs to everyone, regardless of who you are and where you are from “Kurt Riley’
